Children's Book Illustrating
In 1982, the CBIGM was formed as a resource and support agency for artists working in the field of children's book illustrating. Monthly meetings are held and the guild strives to assist and promote their memebers' work. While not specifically aimed at children's illustrators, The Drawing Board provides some good information including legal issues, marketing, technique, and more. A study and discussion of early illustrators of children's books including links to information about individual illustrators. A long listing of books related to or containing illustrations for children's books. Network with other illustrators and subscribe to the illustration listserv. Just enter the message subscribe in the body of your mail. A message board for illustrators of children's books. Take part in a thread, ask a question, or post your own notice. A Senior Editor of Children's books has set up this resource with articles and information on children's books in general. Also some resources for illustrators. Founded in 1968, the SCBWI offers a variety of services to people who write, illustrate, or share a vital interest in children’s literature.
